Hirschhorn's entry into the tech world came in 1995 when as a student he started the website design firm Mischief New Media. The company focused on building sites for major label artists. 5 years later he sold the company to MTV Networks and joined their company. He eventually became the network's Chief Digital Officer, and the youngest senior executive in MTV Networks history.
